What is Human Presence Detection Technology?
Human presence detection technology, also called human static presence detection, true presence detection, lifebeing presence detection, breathing heartbeat detection.
It uses 24Ghz high frequency millimeter wave FMCW radar sensing technology, which can detect the big or minor human movements and human static presence, even breathing and heartbeat. Meanwhile, the anti-interference algorithm can effectively avoid the airflow interference from the air conditioning and the exhaust fans.
Typical Application: smart lighting systems, smart home, building automation, security and surveillance, public bathroom, helthcare etc.

Mmwave Radar Doppler Detection
Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) is an advanced millimeter-wave Doppler radar technology that continuously transmits frequency-modulated signals and analyzes their reflections to detect objects, movement, and even micro-motions like breathing. Compared to traditional 5.8GHz Doppler radar, 24GHz FMCW offers high-resolution detection with superior accuracy across various environments.
Traditional motion sensor only detects large movements, while 24ghz FMCW radar sensor recognizes occupancy by really detect human presence, which can detect subtle motions, and breathing, heartbeats for static state.
* Human movement signal: Human movement within the detection area.
* Subtle motion signal: Captures minimal actions like leaning, body swings, head movements, typing, or phone interactions within the detection area.
* Breathing and heartbeat signal: Detects breathing signals, including dilation in the abdominal and chest cavities.
24Ghz Interference Resistance
One of the key advantages of 24GHz human presence sensors is their strong resistance to interference, ensuring stable and accurate detection even in complex environments, such as wireless signals (WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G, 5G, Zigbee) , air movement from HVAC systems, flying insects, moving curtains, and small pets.
With advanced signal processing algorithms, 24GHz sensors can differentiate between real human presence and environmental noise, making them an ideal choice for smart lighting, HVAC automation, security systems, and energy-saving applications.
How it works?
1. When there is enough ambient light,, it doesn’t turn on even if motion is detected.
2. When there isn’t enough ambient light and motion is detected, the light turns on.
3. When small motion of body and head during the work are deteced, the light will always be on.
4. When the sensor cannot detect motion, the light will turn off after the delay time has passed.
